Gentle Parenting RGV
WELCOME!
Gentle Parenting RGV is a community of parents in McAllen, TX of the Rio Grande Valley. Our mission is to treat our children with more empathy, respect, and gentleness in order to raise self-connected, resilient, and happy humans.
Gentle Parenting Meetups
We host a Parenting Meetup on the second Saturday of every month from 10-11:30am. Please join the Whatsapp group to stay updated on the location as we’re currently rotating between different locations. Caregivers are available to watch the little ones so parents can connect in community.
We often do a reading or watch a video and then have a circle of sharing around discussion questions. Our goal is to build a rich community of people who learn from each other and support each other in being more loving with their children.
Children's Playdates
We meet every Saturday from 11am-1pm for playdates. The location changes every week, so please join the Whatsapp group from your mobile phone to stay updated. We often meet at libraries and parks within the McAllen and Edinburg areas, and other places throughout the year.
Connect with Us
For announcements and event information, please join our mailing list here. For more direct communication with the community, please join our Whatsapp group on your mobile phone.
Support Us
We organize this community without charging because we want it to be accessible to everyone. And, if you'd like to help support this community by contributing to cover monthly meetup costs, we are also accepting donations. We'll have a box in the lobby during our monthly meetups, or you can send your donation through Venmo (@MattMarquezPlus) or Cash App ($mattjmarquez). Thank you!
